A clear path from idea to press-ready file.
Four steps: concept development, design, revisions and production-ready files. AI gives you more directions sooner. Our prepress team makes sure the one you choose prints exactly as approved.
- One partner start to finish
- Spec-checked at every round
- Files built for your printer
What happens at each step, and what you get.
No black box. At every step you know what we need from you, what we are doing and what lands in your inbox.

01
Concept development
Tell us about the product, the shelf it will sit on and the printer who will run it. We use AI to explore concept directions fast, then our designers shape the strongest ones by hand.
You bring- Product and packaging type
- Logo and any existing artwork
- Where it will be sold
You get- Concept directions to react to
- A recommended direction
- Printer questions answered early
-
02
Design
The chosen direction is built on your printer's template, with a consistent layout, type and imagery across the whole product line. Panels, nutrition facts and barcodes are placed from the start.
You bring- Printer's dieline or template
- Copy, claims and ingredients
- Sizes and variants
You get- Full artwork on the real dieline
- A layout system for the line
- Proofs to review
-
03
Revisions
You mark it up and we refine. Every round is checked against the print specs, so a late change to copy or color never breaks the file. The number of rounds is agreed up front in your quote.
You bring- Consolidated feedback
- Final copy approval
- Printer sign-off if needed
You get- Approved, spec-checked artwork
- Target or contract proofs
- Retouched, color-true images
-
04
Production-ready
Final files are trapped, separated and output to your printer's exact requirements, including trap and line screen, for flexo, offset or digital. Then they are archived so reorders are simple.
You bring- Final approval
- Printer contact details
You get- High-resolution press-ready PDFs
- Archive-quality files for reuse
Where AI helps, and where experience decides.
AI is a fast creative partner. It is not a prepress department. We use each for what it does best, so you get speed without the print risk.
- Explores many concept directions fast
- Generates variations for flavors and sizes
- Visualizes ideas before artwork starts
- Shortens the gap between brief and first look
- Chooses and refines the right direction
- Builds artwork on your printer's dieline
- Sets color, trap, line screen and bleed
- Verifies barcodes and nutrition panels
Checked before it ever reaches your printer.
These are the production details that separate a nice design from a package that runs clean on press. Every job goes through them.
Dieline match
Artwork sits on the printer's own template, panel by panel.
Color set up
CMYK and spot colors defined for the press, not the screen.
Trap and separations
Trapped and separated to the exact press requirements.
Line screen and bleed
Set to each project, printer and substrate.
Barcodes verified
High-resolution barcodes, checked before release.
Panels and compliance
FDA nutrition panels placed and built into the art.
Stepped for sleeves
Fully stepped files where the job runs continuous.
Archived for reuse
Stored, retrievable and ready for reorders and variants.
Let's build packaging that prints right.
Heading into our third decade, let us show you how we can help your business. Send a short brief and we will come back with next steps.
Tell us what you are packaging.
A short brief is all we need. These four details help us come back with the right next step.
- Product and packaging type
- Sizes and quantities
- Your printer, if you have one
- Timing and launch date
- 01We read your brief and check the print specs
- 02We call to talk through sizes, printer and timing
- 03You get a clear quote and project plan
Questions, answered.
What clients ask before their first project with us. Anything else, just call. You will talk to someone who knows packaging.
Still have a question?
Tell us what you are packaging and who is printing it. We will point you the right way.
Send us your brief01What does prepress actually mean?
Prepress is everything between an approved design and a printing plate. We convert your artwork into a print-ready digital file: template-specific, color-accurate and built to the exact specs of your printer, including trap, line screen and color separations.
02How does AI fit into your packaging design?
AI helps us generate and explore concept directions far faster than sketching alone. Every direction is then refined by our designers, and the final artwork is built and checked by prepress specialists. You get the speed of AI with none of the print risk.
03Will AI-designed packaging actually print correctly?
Yes, because it never goes to press as a raw AI image. We rebuild it in CMYK and spot colors on your printer's template, set trap and bleed, place verified barcodes and output a press-ready PDF.
04Can you work with my printer?
We have worked with all types of printers since 2000, flexographic and offset, and we build files to their exact print specifications. If you do not have a printer yet, we can connect you with one that fits your product and run size.
05What types of packaging do you design?
Folding cartons, poly bags and pouches, labels, continuous sleeves and complete packaging concepts for new product lines, for food, cosmetics, supplements and retail.
06Do you handle FDA nutrition panels and UPC barcodes?
Yes. We build FDA nutrition panels into your artwork and include high-resolution, verified barcodes in your files. We can also supply UPC barcodes printed on adhesive labels.
07What files will I receive?
High-resolution, press-ready PDFs built to your printer's requirements, plus fully stepped files for continuous sleeves where needed. Your files are archived so they are easy to retrieve and repurpose for reorders and new variants.
08I only have a product idea. Can you still help?
That is a great place to start. We help startups with new product labels, branding development and consulting for the product launch, then carry the design all the way to production-ready files.
